James Rowan
James’s work at PRD includes data collection and analysis, spatial mapping, and conducting policy and literature reviews. He has worked on a variety of projects for clients and is particularly interested in projects with an element of data analysis and visualisation. James has previous experience in the housing sector, working most recently at a non-profit housing association, but also in the private sector. James’s interests lie at the intersection of socioeconomic analysis, policymaking and quantitative methods.
In 2024, James completed his MSc in Public Policy and Management at King’s Business School, after studying for a bachelors in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Sheffield. While at King’s, James undertook an econometric-focused project involving place-based socioeconomic data collection and analysis. During his studies, James became familiar with concepts and ideas relating to public sector governance and management, as well as learning policy evaluation skills. Key academic interests have included development economics, the political economy, and econometric methods.
