Sam Franks

Sam is a Regeneration Consultant with experience in place-based regeneration and socio-economic development strategy. Working in various contexts across London, the UK and beyond, his work focusses on enabling inclusive and sustainable development in the built environment, tackling many of the most acute challenges facing local communities today. Before joining PRD, Sam worked at Savills in planning and development, and graduated from the Bartlett School of Planning at UCL, with an MSc in Sustainable Urbanism.

He has supported projects spanning public, private and third sectors, including local and regional authorities, property developers, social enterprises and charities. Primarily, this work involves detailed socio-economic research and analysis to inform strategy, Masterplanning, vision development and bids for public sector funding.

Most recent projects have included the Hackney Central Town Centre Strategy, establishing a new Vision for Rochdale Town Centre, post-Covid Town Centre recovery action planning in LB Enfield, as well as development of evidence bases for public sector funding proposals in Ramsgate (Town Investment Plan) and for the Thames Estuary Growth Board (Levelling Up).
